Big Sean & Meek Mill – Burn (Game Remix), Big Sean & Mac Miller Collab

Here are two big songs from the hip hop world this week. The Game jumped on Big Sean and Meek Mill’s track “Burn,” proving to be a great feature. Meek Mill is hit or miss with me (usually miss,) but this time around all three rappers brought their A game.

On the second track, Big Sean recruits Mac Miller. “Hundred Dollar Bill Skyscrapper” is a free song. Big Sean is keeping busy these days with his three projects – his mixtape, album, and G.O.O.D. music album. He seems ready to control the rap game for some time. Enjoy.

I Don’t Like Remix- Drake Diss

Remixing Chief Keef’s “I Don’t Like,” Chris Brown came out with a diss song attacking Drake. Game also jumped on this track, but he hates everyone. It’s pretty weird. I think this song was terrible to begin with so I’m not really sure what to make of it. I’m not even including a download button. And, I still can’t get over Jada Kiss’s part in the original track..that’s a clown move bro.

Hopefully Drake and Chris box it out.

Angel Haze – New York

At the ripe age of 20, Angel Haze is beginning to make a name for herself as a lady emcee. This Native American is an army brat. Born originally in Michigan, she lived in several places throughout her life. She began writing at the age of 11, but did not start rapping until 16.

She claims “I couldn’t listen to a hip-hop song without someone telling me I was going to burn in hell until I was 16 years old.” Coming from a formally religious family, it was a struggle for her to express herself. Thank god she found her voice.

It’s almost impossible not to be compared to Nicki Minaj as a female rapper. It sounds so foreign to us hearing a woman spit harsh words and non- melodic sounds. For that reason, we only have a few women to compair other female rappers to. Haze’s voice does sound like Nicki, and the whip you hear every time she swears is similar to Nicki. However unlike Minaj, Haze has talent. She’s good. I can’t believe I’ve never heard of her before, and I strongly suggest you take a listen. With a perfect rapping voice, flow, and lyrics Haze is a bombshell.

Her mixtape Reservation is being released July 17th. Until then, here is a track off of Reservation entitled “New York.”

Aer- Floats my Boat

Aer dropped their visuals to “Floats my Boat” yesterday. You can’t but be happy listening to these two– they’re the perfect summer group. Hailing from Wayland, MA, David von Mering and Carter Schultz have been making a name for themselves with their raggae beats and easy-going flow. “Floats my Boat” is off of their upcoming album The Bright Side dropping July 30th. Make sure to keep an eye out for these two.
