Plan B – “ill Manors”

Plan B, one of my favorite Brit. rappers, dropped his new single “ill Manors” off of his upcoming album ill Manors, dropping in May. This song will be ready for download on March 25th, until then here is the version he dropped on BBC 2 days ago.

Jemyle Jones – Parent The Future

After giving us tracks over Drake’s “Yolo,” and Trae the Truth’s “I’m On,” Jemyle Jones releases another song called “Parent The Future” going over The Alchemist’s beat. What’s interesting this time around, The Alchemist is holding a contest to see which unsigned artists can create the best song over one of his own unreleased beats. The rapper with the best version will be offered a one song deal with Decon Records. After listening, “Parent The Future” is absolutely worthy of winning. Support Jemyle on faceook.

Tonight is the Night (Timeflies Remix)

Outasight hit up Timeflies to do a remix of his song, “Tonight is the Night.” Even while on tour, Cal and especially Rez did their thing on the track. These guys just always impress. Enjoy!

Logic – The Spotlight

The quickly upcoming rapper Logic released the music video for “The Spotlight” a couple days ago but I just got my hands on the mp3. Sampleing Justice’s “D.A.N.C.E.” the song impresses with an already proven successful beat and Logics smooth flow. Keep an eye on this young MC because you will definitely be seeing more of him in the future.

On a sidenote, Wale did a remix of the same sample a few years ago that is also straight fire. We linked it in a post we did in December here.

Brooklyn. Chicago. London. – Urban Noize Remix Album

Although this remix album is four months old, I figured I had to post it. After the Outkast remix we posted a few days ago, I can’t get Urban Noize out of my head. The boys from Florida are suppose to be dropping a new single in two weeks. It’s a remix involving Usher’s “Climax.” Until then listen to this album and get psyched. Also if your a Jay, Kanye, and/or Adele fan (you’re crazy if your not) then you’ll absolutely love this album.

Jazz Cartier – Jet Plane

“Jet Plane” is Jazz Cartier’s first track off his upcoming album Marauding In Paradise. His last project Losing Elizabeth was extremely good and very under rated. For the last year, Jazz held off releasing music while at school, but he seems ready to unleash his material with the next mixtape in April. If “Jet Plane” is any precursor, I’m very excited for what’s to come.

Radical Something – Say Yes Official Video

Just last week I introduced you to the trio, Radical Something and a few days later they release a new EP to itunes, No Sweat. Today they release an official video to the song “Say Yes”, one of the hits from the album. Its catchy and a little more upbeat from their older stuff, but just as good. The video gives the song more life and makes it even better. You can download the entire EP for only $2.99 on Itunes here or you can stream the it below.

I’m Back

After a three week hiatus, I’m finally returning to Dorm Room Tracks. Unfortunately, I was pretty sick and stuck in the hospital for awhile. Dorm Room Tracks made great strides after being launched January 1st. Being in the hospital since the beginning of February made it difficult for myself and the rest of the team to keep up. I apologize if you came to the site and saw nothing new, but it won’t stay that way for long.

Luckily I’m out and now back along with the rest of the DRT team to bring the best music to college campuses. In addition, over the next few weeks, new changes will be implemented. I can’t wait to show our new music player which is in the works. For now, expect an influx of great new music for all occasions.
